Third Debate Cancelled Due to Davids' Refusal to Participate

Thursday, October 11th, 2018

Overland Park, KS- The Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce has informed the Yoder campaign that tomorrow's Congressional Forum debate has been cancelled due to a lack of participation from the Davids campaign.

The Chamber made multiple attempts to get an answer from Davids about participating in the debate tomorrow after she refused to attend the September 21st debate, citing thus-far unknown "scheduling conflicts." This marks the third debate that has been cancelled due to Davids' refusal to show up.

The next two debates the Yoder campaign has agreed to are:

  • Johnson County Public Policy Council - October 16
  • Louisburg & Spring Hill Chambers of Commerce - October 19

Davids has so far refused to participate in either of these events, or engage with any of the numerous longstanding organizations who are trying to host debates that congressional candidates have participated in for decades.

According to historical trends, between one-third and half of all voters in this election will vote early. Both campaigns owe it to the voters to put the contrast on full display before Kansans head to the ballot box.
